Job Offer — Shop and Reception Manager

LEPORELLO is a non-profit organization dedicated to illustration. A space for creation, promotion, and gathering around art, LEPORELLO houses a bright studio, an illustration residency, a specialty boutique, and an exhibition space.

We are looking for a committed, organized, and friendly individual to ensure the smooth running of the boutique and provide a welcoming presence to the public. The LEPORELLO boutique offers a range of carefully selected products related to illustration—objects, art supply, stationery, illustrated books, posters, etc.—as well as works created by illustrators in residence.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure the opening and closing of the store
• Provide courteous, attentive and knowledgeable customer service
• Manage the cash register (sales, deposits, reports)
• Participate in the promotion of works and products in the store
• Support the organization during workshops, openings or public activities
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the premises and collaborate with the artists in residence
  

Profile sought:

• Strong interest in art, illustration and cultural life
• Sense of initiative, reliability, autonomy
• Excellent communication and reception skills
• Bilingual (French/English)

Terms :

• Part-time position 28 hours/week, Thursday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Start date: August 2025
• Salary: $18/hr, depending on experience
• Workplace: 39 Victoria Street, Knowlton
