FAQ
What is a leporello?
A leporello is a type of accordion binding , in which the pages are folded in a zigzag pattern, like a fan or a harmonica. Unlike traditional bound books, the leporello unfolds horizontally, allowing for continuous reading, visual storytelling, or a panoramic effect.
This format is particularly popular in illustration, artistic publishing and artist's books, because it offers great formal freedom to tell a story, create a sequential work or explore links between text and image.
What is the procedure to follow if I want to do a residency at LEPORELLO?
Each year, Leporello launches a call for projects to select artists in residence. If you are interested in submitting an application, we invite you to consult this section during the next call period. The deadline will also be announced on the homepage, on our social media, or in our newsletter.
When the residency is not occupied by an artist listed in the program, it is also possible to apply for a period of 1 to 4 weeks. The fee schedule will be posted soon.
