About us

LEPORELLO is a non-profit organization dedicated entirely to illustration, located in Knowlton, in the Eastern Townships. This unique project, founded by illustrator Isabelle Arsenault and publisher Frédéric Gauthier, offers an innovative space that combines a creative studio, artist residencies, a specialty boutique, and an exhibition space.

Our mission

Dedicated to the research, creation and promotion of illustration, LEPORELLO's mission is to support professional illustrators while promoting exchanges with the public through educational and cultural activities.

Program

An accessible place

The studio is a space equipped with a variety of technical equipment, providing artists in residence and members of the public with access to various artistic disciplines—hand-printing, riso, bookbinding, ceramics, and drawing. It also includes an exhibition space dedicated specifically to illustration.

La Presse

Alexandre Vigneault, a journalist for the Montreal daily La Presse, met with individuals and institutions that promote culture outside major urban centers. He stopped at Leporello, a place he describes as "a living and welcoming laboratory."
