Emilie Dion

Before clay, there were words: legal texts, pleadings. A lawyer by training and mother of four, Émilie one day felt the call to create differently—in a more tangible, more grounded way. It was in ceramics that she found this new lease of life. Working with clay allowed her to rediscover silence, time, and meaning. Today, she is a ceramist and founder of L'Atelier Em, in Lac-Brome. She creates simple and sensitive objects, made to accompany everyday life. Each piece tells of slowness, gesture, and material. It is designed to be useful, but also to offer a little extra soul: a curve, a texture, a sensation. For her, there is as much value in the object as in the process: the time taken, the hands searching, the connection with the earth.

Gabriel Sabourin

Born in Montreal, Gabriel Sabourin developed a passion for drawing from a young age. The black line with which he sketched "flexible" characters and sandwich factories would remain a prominent feature of his illustrations. His training in graphic design solidified his interest in narrative illustration, which he explored professionally during the calm of the pandemic. He sought to express the confusion and comforts of everyday life through absurd humor. Anthropomorphic objects, unusual beings, and plays on perspective materialize his visual universe.
