In the 1990s, kids played hockey in the street or Super Nintendo in the basement, McDonald's sold pizza, and Green Day released Dookie. It was a big decade for little Benoit, who grew up as best he could, often feeling out of step.

From the rinks of his childhood to the Montreal concert halls of his adolescence, the author recounts his youth spent in the suburbs, playing goalie, riding his bike, and listening to punk rock.
