Samuel Fortin's hand-painted illustration on a vase created by Montreal ceramist Ronald Pothier. This unique piece, approximately 12 cm high, is ideal for holding pencils, paintbrushes, flowers, lattes, or other items. This vase is part of a collection of 20 pieces illustrated by 19 great names in illustration. Samuel Fortin is the illustrator in residence at LEPORELLO in July 2025.
Samuel Fortin is a designer from Rimouski. Since high school, he used his notebooks as much for doing exercises as for filling the margins with drawings. After studying science at CEGEP, he turned to tattooing to fuel his creativity. This means of expression quickly became a passion, which he still practices today. Three years later, he has refined an instinctive, colorful, and naive style, often tinged with humor. Based in Montreal, he earned a bachelor's degree in graphic design from UQAM. This is where a deep conviction was born: drawing can be much more than just a passion.
