March 1956, Mud Bay, Ketchikan, Alaska. A child is born. Windows, skylights, screens, lenses: through these openings, a life unfolds, a whole life. A life that traverses time and completes its cycle, to grow, to be amazed, to leave, to know, to marvel, to suffer, to leave again, to love, to raise a child, to pass on, to separate, to return. A life that traverses space, gradually connecting with the infinitely small and the infinitely large, with the insect that stirs under the magnifying glass, with the galaxy displayed in the telescope; with the childhood home by the bay, and with the metaphysical cosmos.
