AGGIE AND THE GHOST

Until the ghost arrived, Aggie lived happily alone. When he bursts in, he wreaks havoc on her life and her home. She establishes rules that the ghost refuses to follow. They even play a wild game of tic-tac-toe all night, supposedly to bring them to an agreement. It still doesn't work. Yet the next day, the ghost has disappeared and Aggie discovers that she misses him. She then gives him one final rule: never to come see her again. The ghost delights in breaking it, but only occasionally, as Aggie had hoped. This picture book subtly explores the complexity of learning to relate to others and to oneself.
