ABOUT THE COURSE
This course is designed for anyone who wants to discover watercolor painting — no prior experience required. Through a gradual and playful approach, you will learn the essential basics to start this delicate and expressive artistic technique with confidence.
Get familiar with different types of watercolor, suitable papers and brushes. Hands-on exercises using photos and illustrations to explore the fundamental effects of watercolor, such as washes, gradients, glazing, wet-on-wet, and wet-on-dry techniques. Drawing techniques will be covered in preparation for sketching before coloring. Time will also be dedicated to personal exploration, to play with colors, textures, and brushwork, and begin to develop your own artistic sensitivity.
Whether you're eager to create or simply looking for a new form of expression, this course will give you the tools to begin watercolor painting with both confidence and enjoyment.
