Designed by architect Pierre Thibault, the Observatory was inaugurated in 2024 in the Shefford Mountains, an hour from Montreal. It is the latest project of the Giverny Foundation for Contemporary Art, whose mission is to make the works of the Giverny Collection accessible to the widest possible audience.

The Giverny Foundation for Contemporary Art is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and appreciating contemporary art among diverse audiences.
