Sophie Blackall is the author and illustrator of over 50 children's books, including the beloved "Ivy and Bean" series. She won the Caldecott Medal for "Finding Winnie" (2016) and "Hello Lighthouse" (2019), and has also collaborated with UNICEF and Save the Children on literacy and health initiatives. She divides her time between Brooklyn and the Catskill Mountains, where she co-directs the Milkwood creative residency for the children's book community.
