Lila, a little girl, has withdrawn into solitude since her mother's death, especially since her father, a gardener at the château, is often away. She invents an imaginary friend, named Rien. When the time of mourning is over, her mother's favorite flowers bloom, and spring marks the resumption of Lila's relationship with her father.
