Babette, a tiny little girl, can no longer bear the distance separating her from her mother, who has gone to work on the other side of the planet. One evening, she runs away from home and seeks refuge in all the burrows, nests, and caves in the forest. When Aldo realizes she's gone, it's unfortunately already pitch dark...
