This vase is part of 'a collection of 20 pieces illustrated by 19 big names in 'illustration.
Alain Pilon lives in Montreal. After studying graphic design at the Université du Québec à Montréal, he devoted himself entirely to illustration. A versatile artist, he masters both Dadaist-style collage and ink drawing influenced by classic comics. His drawings display a precise and surreal humor where the incongruous vies with the absurd. His universe has him working with a variety of brands such as La Grande Épicerie du Bon Marché, Air France, Hermès and Fred Perry. His work has been featured in Canadian, American and French publications, including L'Actualité , The New York Times , Popular Science , The New Yorker , Elle , Le Monde , Philosophie Magazine and Air France Magazine . He has won numerous awards, including those awarded by the American Illustration Annual, Communication Arts , Society of Illustrators, Design Annual, National Magazine Awards, Applied Arts, Advertising & Design Club of Canada.
