Illustration by Cath Laporte hand-painted on a vase created by Montreal ceramist Ronald Pothier. This unique piece, approximately 12 cm high, is ideal for holding pencils, paintbrushes, flowers, lattes, or anything else. This vase is part of a collection of 20 pieces illustrated by 19 great illustrators.

Trained at UQAM in graphic design, Cath Laporte worked for nearly 20 years in design and advertising as an art director in Amsterdam, Paris, and Montreal. She now works as a creative director at Republik. Her projects, created for internationally renowned brands, have received numerous awards, both in Canada and abroad. Her work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Canada, England, France, and Argentina. In 2013, she co-founded TRUST, a gallery-café in Amsterdam, where customers were invited to follow their intuition and "feel" the price they were willing to pay. Since returning to Quebec in 2016, after seven years in Amsterdam, she enjoys simmering her projects both in Montreal and at her organic farm in the Eastern Townships, La Ferme Granite 1981, where she welcomes artists in residence or groups looking to strengthen their team (team building). For her, it is an incredible creative playground, where humans and nature meet. Interactive workshops, visual art, creative direction and organic market gardening now fill her schedule.
