Catherine Ocelot is a comic book author and illustrator originally from Quebec City, who has lived in Montreal for several years. She writes the comic book column "Nature humaine" in the newspaper La Presse, and is the author of the graphic novels Symptômes (2022, Prix des Collégiens), La vie d’artiste (2018, Prix Bédélys), Talk-Show (2016), and Nenette cherche un sens (2006). She has also created numerous illustrated columns and comic strips—notably for ELLE Québec magazine and Liberté magazine.

In her work, Catherine Ocelot enjoys exploring feelings that elude language. She is interested in what lies beneath the surface and is fascinated by the human body and its capacity for transformation. She enjoys portraying—with melancholic humor—the marvelous, precious, and sometimes sad aspects that weave our relationships.
