ABOUT THE COURSE

Discover the art of making felt plushies in this workshop designed for children aged 10 and up. Guided by artist and children’s book illustrator Sabina Gibson, participants will learn the specialized techniques featured in her book Felt Softie Parade to create their own little felt animals.

Each student will make and personalize four unique felt animals: two medium-sized plushies, one miniature plushie, and one decoration. Students will learn how to add personal touches that bring their plushies to life, as well as embroidery techniques and a fun method of coloring felt with watercolor, allowing them to customize and enhance their creations.

No sewing experience is required, though some familiarity with sewing may be helpful. All projects will be hand-sewn, with a sewing machine available for those who wish to use it.
